Celebrating a new year and new life during a time of uncertainty

There are a number of important holidays and traditions that are observed during the onset of spring. Persian New Year is one of them, as the sometimes days-long celebrations mark another new year in the Iranian calendar. However, this year was different. The pandemic outbreak spiked in mid-March, halting the celebrations of many across the world. While the situation has presented new challenges for so many people, many of them have used their own histories with overcoming sudden change in order to find new ways to adapt.
